The Regional Learning Network: A model for improving maternal and newborn health care outcomes in Uganda

Quality Improvement efforts have been a primary focus for Uganda’s Ministry of Health (MoH) given facilities births have increased from 58% in 2011 to 74% in 2016. As part of their efforts to strengthen the health system and improve quality of maternal and newborn care (MNH) and outcomen, the MoH piloted a Regional Learning Network (RLN) in Hoima starting in May 2016 with support from Save the Children and the University Research Company (URC).
