Rapid Gender Assessment of the Youth in Action Program in Burkina Faso

Youth in Action (YiA) is a six-year learning and livelihood program. In partnership with The MasterCard Foundation, YiA aims to improve the socio-economic status of approximately 40,000 rural out-of-school young people, both girls and boys, in Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, Malawi, and Uganda.

In November 2016, the YiA program carried out a rapid gender assessment to identify the specific gender barriers to the participation of girls and boys in the program and to find out what the program has done to remove these barriers. Read about the findings within the report.
