The Rapid Gender Analysis Toolkit provides quick and useful information on the different needs, capacities, and coping strategies of different genders in an emergency setting. Initially, it can be used to quickly inform humanitarian actors in preparation for the response. However, over time, it will aslo help them collect information to compile a Rapid Gender Analysis Report. The final report will contain recommendations on how the findings within the report can be used for action. The toolkit primarily caters to gender specialists who seek a step-by-step guide on how to conduct an emergency gender analysis.
The Rapid Gender Analysis Toolkit is broken into five steps:
1. Finding existing data on gender relations
2. Collect supplementary information through gender assessments
3. Analyze response and compare to data before the crisis
4. Write recommendations
5. Share findings and recommendations with other actors
