Save the Children Sweden
Save the Children Sweden (SCS) continues to carry forward efforts with the aim of bringing about better conditions for children and ensuring their rights worldwide. The Annual Report for 2011 focuses particularly on SCS’s work and achievements – both nationally and internationally – in the key priority areas of health; HIV/AIDS; war, conflict and natural disasters; children’s rights to protection; education; and child rights governance. Over the past year SCS’s programmes around the world have directly touched the lives of more than 3,7 million children. The report specifically highlights the progress towards the achievement of children’s rights in Yemen, Côte d’Ivoire and Sudan, and the emergency response to the Horn of Africa crisis, which reached 7 million people affected by the drought and famine that hit the region in 2011.
The Annual Report also includes a financial summary for 2011 and information on donor support.
