Qualitative Analysis of the Intervention Outcomes of Set El-Settat Sessions and Impact on Women and their Families (Egypt, 2025)

FGDs conducted with Twenty-two women from the villages of Qalandoul and Darwah in Mallawii, Minya Governorate, who participated in the Set El-Settat sessions. These sessions aim to improve women’s behavior toward their families, strengthen family relationships, build self-confidence, enhance financial planning and management practices, develop the character of rural women, and equip them with skills in dialogue, discussion, and persuasion. The sessions rely on the use of real-life stories as an educational tool to enhance participants’ critical awareness of their personal behaviors.

Set ElSettat sessions significantly strengthened women’s self confidence, decision making, and awareness, with 90% full attendance. Over 75% reported improved empowerment, communication, and financial planning, leading many businesses to start, resume education, save money, and enhance emotional regulation and family stability.
