With the growing recognition of the importance of holistic and child focused programming, psychosocial support (PSS) and social and emotional learning (SEL) programmes are increasing in number in crisis-affected contexts, not least in the humanitarian response to the Syrian refugee crisis. The aim of this Save the Children UK report was therefore to investigate the challenges to, and opportunities of, implementing PSS and SEL in the Syria response in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. This research is the first of its kind to give an overview of PSS and SEL programmes in the Syria response and to explore the challenges and opportunities involved in implementation.
