Natural disasters are identified as a major focus of Save the Children’s work in Bangladesh. Emergency
preparedness and response have been integrated as a vital way of working for all programmes.
Special measures should be taken to protect children from violence, abuse and exploitation during disasters and the most vulnerable children should get priority in receiving aid. This is a list of Dos and Dont’s that has been prepared to ensure the protection of the children living in makeshift shelters.
