Promoting and protecting the rights of the child with Parliamentarians in Africa

This training workshop is part of the strategic alliances developed by Save the Children Sweden to encourage duty-bearers to take into account the rights of the child in the planning, implementation of policies and allocation of resources. The outcome of the workshop was the drafting of realistic and achievable plans of action at national and sub-regional levels geared towards improving the legislative framework of Child Rights Protection, the mobilisation of communities for the dissemination of the Rights of the Child and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, and the roles of every stakeholder in the society in terms of the respect of these rights.
