Project End Review Brief – Gates Anchor IV Child Survival Advocacy Project

This is a project-end review brief for the Gates Anchor IV Advocacy Project, implemented by Save the Children (SC) from April 2021 to March 2025. The project aimed to address equity gaps in child health, immunization, and nutrition in Ethiopia, with a focus on the Afar and Somali regions. It is a development project.
Key findings: The Gates Anchor IV Project advanced budget advocacy in Ethiopia, increasing health allocations in Somali (1.18% to 20.5%) and Afar (8.0% to 12.7%), strengthening governance, accountability, and service delivery. It improved health systems, supported national strategies, expanded CSO engagement, and ensured sustainability through capacity-building and integration into local structures.
