The First Alternative Report on the Implementation of the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict and on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography – Colombia 2003-2008. The submitting parties are: Terre des hommes, Defensa de los Niños y las Niñas Internacional, Fundación Saldarriaga Concha, Save the Children UK, Visión Mundial, Aldeas Infantiles SOS, Fundación Brazos Abiertos, Plan Internacional, Fundación Renacer – Ecpat Colombia. This NGO-report is submitted to provide a situation analysis of the social, political and armed violence against girls and boys in Colombia and to support the Colombian government’s efforts in the development of concerted political, legislative and institutional measures that are called for at the national level with regard to the promotion and protection of children’s rights under the provisions of the Optional Protocol.
