The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Red Cross and Save the Children are part of the inter-agency Praesidium Project aimed at strengthening the management capacity for ‘mixed migration flows’ arriving by sea, particularly to Lampedusa and other coastal areas in southern Italy.
This document’s objective consists in illustrating and harmonizing the practices developed during project implementation, thus seeking to offer a range of useful information relating to the management of mixed migration flows.
