This manual provides practical guidance for establishing and managing a Play House (Ban Len) community learning space for young children aged 0-6 years. Developed from lessons learned through the LEARN (Literacy Empowerment Alliance for a Resilient New Generation) project implemented by Save the Children Thailand, the manual outlines a community-based model that promotes early childhood development through play-based learning, literacy, numeracy, and positive interactions. It details the key components required for successful implementation, including community engagement, volunteer management through Youth Literacy Champions (YLCs), learning activities, safe and child-friendly environments, and sustainability planning. Designed for local authorities, community leaders, educators, volunteers, and civil society organizations, the guide aims to support equitable access to quality early learning opportunities, strengthen caregiver engagement, and foster children’s holistic development in underserved communities.
