This training package was developed in Bhutan as part of the ELM implementation, including nine-day foundational training for new Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) facilitators from the community who can read and write, and Five-day TOT for partners and government trainers. Following the foundational training, ECCD facilitators will be able to: Guide young children through the daily routine in the ECCD center Promote children’s learning and development for all the developmental domains and record their progress Engage children in early literacy and math activities to facilitate their transition into pre-primary classes Create a partnership with parents to support the ECCD center and promote child development at home.
The assessment tool gauge the development and early learning status of young children ages 3.5 – 6.5 years old to understand their learning levels on entry to primary grade.
