The purpose of the outcome survey is to assess the four principal results of the LEEP program of young women in achieving the stated goal and to develop rigorous evidence and inform its development partners, including youth, GoE and NGOs, and donors on the appropriateness, effectiveness, and sustainability of the LEEP interventions and results.
This outcome survey employed a descriptive cross-sectional community-based design using a mixed quantitative and qualitative primary and secondary data collection and analysis method.
The findings suggested that due to the support of the project, 95% of participants reported increase in their average net monthly income compared to the time before the LEEP project. The improvement in the average monthly income is certainly attributed to the LEEP project support as evidenced from the findings of the outcome survey. Moreover, participant also able to expand and/or diversified their business after participating in the LEEP project where 68% of respondents participated in the outcome survey have expanded/diversified their businesses.
