Oral Statement: Investment in Children – Children and their Right to Participate in the Budget Cycle

This is a joint NGO statement made on behalf of Save the Children and nine (9) NGOS at the 28th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. The joint statement suggests that children’s involvement in budgeting processes helps put their civil rights into practice and can contribute to budgets that are fair and just, while making public decision-making more transparent and responsive to children
