Operational Research on Nutrition for Local Government Authorities: Training Manual

This facilitator’s manual was developed for use by nutrition stakeholders in the nutrition health sub-sector in Tanzania. Evidence from previous assessments showed a critical gap in the generation and use of evidence through operational research at the local government authority (LGA) level. This gap impairs the ability of the LGA to make timely, evidence-based decisions for program improvement and decision-making. This manual is intended to build the capacity of LGA staff to design and implement relevant operational research geared towards informing nutritional planning and management.
