This Advocacy Handbook for Young People and Children was created by Save the Children’s Global Task Group on Violence against Children. Understanding “advocacy” is a process that both adults and children alike learn more and more about every year. With each project, new lessons are learned and it is always possible to take that “one step beyond”. This handbook can be used by advocacy experts and by people who do not know anything about advocacy, children and young people who have experience of advocacy or are taking action to create change, or want to create positive change but may have little or no experience in making a plan. The handbook is also aimed at adults who want to support children and young people in their advocacy work and who want to improve their own advocacy projects.
