The principal purpose of the SMART survey was to determine the prevalence of malnutrition in children 6-59 months and infant and young child feeding practices in children 0-23 months for informed decision-making to continue, reprogram or phase out the project.
A two-stage random cluster sampling was designed in light of the SMART methodology. From a list of available villages, a total of 36 clusters were randomly selected based on probability proportional to population size (PPS) using the ENA software for SMART (Delta Version November 2020).
