Save the Children
Approximately 40 percent of Cambodia children under-five are chronically malnourished (or stunted) and this percentage has remained stagnant over the past five years. This is of grave concern for Cambodia because stunting has detrimental long-term consequences on the health and economic development of the population.
Save the Children has responded with the program ‘Nourish’, which will accelerate stunting reduction by focusing directly on several of the key causal factors of chronic malnutrition specific to Cambodia: poverty, lack of access to quality nutrition services, unsanitary environments, and social norms and practices that work against optimal growth.
This brochure further explains the strategies of Nourish and the partners who will help bring about its completion between June 2014 and June 2019.
