This report sets out the key actions the Welsh Assembly Government must take over the next term if it is to fulfil its duty to children living in poverty. Ending child poverty and socio-economic disadvantage should be at the heart of the Welsh Assembly Government’s programme from 2011 to 2016. Save the Children calls for all parties to support two key commitments:1.Tackle severe child poverty, as part of a broader approach to eradicate child poverty; and 2.Break the link between poverty and educational underachievement.
