Hong Kong Committee on Children's Rights
Supplementary report to China’s 2nd periodic report on the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, drafted and submitted by the Hong Kong Committee on Children’s Rights(HKCCR). The report is supported by organisations that are broad-based and representative, adding weight to the comments and recommendations made. Views, comments and support from other NGOs closely working for and with children and youth in Hong Kong, are also included in this report. The report concludes with the observation that current mechanisms to address issues related to children in Hong Kong are seriously deficient and lack co-ordination, hampering the advancement of the basic rights of the child to survival, protection, development and participation.
