Child Rights Coalition Sierra Leone

This report, prepared and submitted by Child Rights Coalition Sierra Leone, provides supplementary information to the initial report of Sierra Leone on the Optional Protocol on the Sale of Children to the UNCRC. The Coalition acknowledged the State party’s efforts and lack of resources, and recommended that the government raise and clarify the age of consent, strengthen law enforcement, monitoring, and coordination agencies, and expedite the Bill on Sexual Offences, and inform the public about policies and programmes to protect children. The report contains complementary information to the State Party Report and includes comments and recommendations from numerous NGOs, INGOs, Children’s Forum Network members and civil society groups of Sierra Leone.
