Nascosti in Piena Vista (Italy, 2026)

Con il rapporto “Nascosti in Piena Vista” si accendono i riflettori sui bambini, le bambine e gli adolescenti che migrano con le proprie famiglie, una componente dei flussi migratori ancora invisibile nelle statistiche e troppo spesso esclusa dalle politiche di accoglienza e protezione in Italia.
Attraverso una ricerca sul campo condotta in territori di frontiera, transito e destinazione, si analizzano i percorsi dei nuclei familiari, dall’arrivo all’integrazione, evidenziando le criticità del sistema di accoglienza e il divario tra i diritti formalmente garantiti e la loro effettiva tutela. Il rapporto mostra come l’attuale modello non sia progettato per rispondere ai bisogni specifici delle famiglie con figli minori, con conseguenze sull’accesso all’istruzione, alla salute, alla protezione e sul benessere dei bambini, delle bambine, e degli adolescenti.
Rendere visibile questa realtà ancora poco conosciuta e raramente analizzata è il primo passo per costruire politiche e percorsi di tutela realmente capaci di mettere al centro i diritti di ogni bambino e di ogni bambina.

The report “Hidden in Plain Sight” shines a spotlight on children and adolescents who migrate with their families—a dimension of migration flows that remains largely invisible in official statistics and is too often overlooked by reception and protection policies in Italy.
Drawing on field research conducted in border, transit, and destination areas, the report examines the journeys of migrant families from arrival through integration, highlighting the shortcomings of the reception system and the gap between formally guaranteed rights and their effective protection.
The findings show that the current model is not designed to address the specific needs of families with children, with significant consequences for access to education, healthcare, protection services, and the overall well-being of children and adolescents.
Bringing visibility to this little-known and rarely examined reality is the first step toward developing policies and protection pathways that are truly capable of placing the rights of every child at the center.
