My Voice Matters Too!

Injunction with Sweden’s chairmanship of the United Nations Security Council Working Group on “Children and Armed Conflict,” Save the Children Sweden was requested to organize an event in Beirut at the end of October, in collaboration with the Swedish embassy in Lebanon and the Swedish Foreign Ministry.

The resulting event was “My Voice Matters Too,” with the goal of highlighting how children are affected by armed conflict. Ten Lebanese, Palestinian, and Syrian refugee children living in Lebanon were invited to discuss children’s right to education, security, and protection, as well as to be heard and influence questions that affected them and their communities.
