Missing Mothers – Meeting the needs of children affected by AIDS

Millions of children have lost their mothers to AIDS, and millions more are caring for their sick mothers.
Resources must be channelled into improving the lives of mothers living with HIV and protecting the welfare and development of their children. This report includes personal stories and examples of Save the Children’s work in Africa, sets out the help that is needed, and proposes strategies and recommendations to help extended families and communities give mothers and children the support they need.
