Children and young people with disabilities have the same right to engage in play and recreational activities as any other children. And they can participate in most activities. This report highlights the need to work across structures and organisations to ensure that children with disabilities have equal access with other children to participation in play, recreation and leisure and sporting activities. It provides useful information on leisure time activities, such as singing, dancing, circus games, and the use of sit-skis for kids. Activities like these are a vehicle through which children have fun, meet new friends, and develop skills and competencies.

This publication is issued within the framework of a cooperation project between Save the Children Sweden and Riksförbundet för Rörelsehindrade Barn och Ungdomar, RBU (RBU, The Swedish National Association for Disabled Children and Young People).
