Mapping of Save the Children’s response to violence against children in South Asia region

The mapping provides an analysis of the level and nature of violence against girls and boys in the South Asian region. It provides an overview of the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) that pertain to violence against children and to children’s participation. It also examines the lacunae in the framework of existing national laws with respect to this issue. Summary details of some Save the Children-supported initiatives, projects and research that aim to reduce violence against children in South Asia have been provided. It also pulls together a catalogue of challenges to eliminate violence against children and makes recommendations to overcome them.
