Longitudinal Study: Skills to Succeed (S2S) Project (Indonesia, 2025)

This longitudinal study evaluates the long-term outcomes of the Skills to Succeed (S2S) program in Indonesia, which aims to equip marginalized youth with life skills, employability skills, and pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, or further education. Using a mixed-methods approach combining surveys and interviews with program alumni 1.5 years after graduation, the study assesses employment outcomes, continued learning, job quality, and life skills development, including outcomes for youth with disabilities. The findings show high levels of engagement in employment, education, or training, demonstrating sustained program impact, although disparities remain in career progression and income, particularly for youth with disabilities. The report concludes with recommendations to strengthen gender and disability inclusion, expand partnerships, and integrate employability and life skills training into broader education and labor systems to improve youth transition into decent work.
