Localisation has repeatedly been confirmed as the right way forwards since its first endorsement at the 2016 World Humanitarian Summit. In addition to being more ethically and morally right, there is a growing body of evidence that suggests that localisation improves impact and effectiveness.
This review has been undertaken to investigate the current opportunities, challenges, and good practices in how INGOs and local/national humanitarian actors work together.
