About 650 million girls and women have been affected by Child, Early, and Forced Marriages (CEFM) globally, and 1 in every 5 girls is married off before the age of 18. The consequences of CEFM are devastating and often force girls to end school, have their future work opportunities restricted and limits their participation in public life. Furthermore it places the girls at increased risk of domestic violence. This report examines the role of which digital technologies and online solutions can play in preventing, reducing, and eliminating CEFM in the Asia-Pacific region.
