A briefer on the endline results of the USAID LAC Reads: Leer Juntos Aprender Juntos project in Peru and Guatemala.  The study showed that Literacy Boost (LB) Teacher Training (TT) component had a positive impact on children’s literacy outcomes in Peru but not Guatemala. However, the LB community action component did not have a measurable impact on children’s learning in either (though there were major challenges retaining volunteers to implement com. Action activities.), though it did improve children’s home learning environment in both countries.
