Save the Children Lebanon
This brief details the overlapping humanitarian, economic, and climate crises confronting Lebanon and outlines Save the Children’s integrated response. Years of economic collapse, the 2024 conflict, and severe drought conditions in 2025 have severely compromised critical Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and shelter infrastructure, leaving over 1.5 million people displaced and millions without reliable access to safe water. Children are disproportionately impacted, facing heightened risks of disease, malnutrition, and educational disruption. In response, Save the Children implements a multi-sectoral approach encompassing sustainable service delivery, community support projects, climate education via the Green Generation curriculum, and inclusive shelter and WASH interventions aimed at building long-term resilience and protecting vulnerable populations.
