When asked about their mental health, young people across the world often express a sense of hopelessness. This often relate to structural determinants such as growing inequalities, rising hate and intolerance. However, climate change and environmental hazards, conflict and fragility, pervasive poverty and uncertain future employment opportunities are also causing anxiety for children and youth all over the world.
This summary report includes insights from the Leading Minds Conference 2019, and presents recommendations on how stakeholders can work to improve children and youth’s mental health worldwide.
