Launch Webinar on General Comment 26 Guidance – 9 September 2025

Two sessions were organized on September 9, 2025 to launch of the How to Child Rights series’ (HTCR) Guidance on General Comment 26 (GC26) of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child focusing on child rights and the Environment, with special focus on climate change. The guidance (available here in English, French, Spanish and Arabic) was presented, with its content and how it can help civil society to support realization of children’s right to a healthy environment and ensure the implementation of General Comment 26 in different contexts. Children from the Children’s Advisory Team of Child Rights Connect also presented child friendly school kit on GC26 (available here). We heard from child, human rights and environment experts, practitioners, children and youth, and from members and chairperson of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child.
