LAC Migration and Displacement Hub

Migration and displacement is a critical concern in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Save the Children has established the LAC Migration and Displacement Hub (LAC M&D Hub) in Panama to support migration work in the region. The Hub is a flexible and cost-effective platform designed to address sustained and systemic needs of refugees and migrants in countries of origin, transit, destination, as well as issues of social and economic integration and re-integration in the region. The Hub complements and supports Save the Children’s extensive humanitarian responses in the region and works to increase Save the Children’s programming quality across the humanitarian and development nexus.

La migración y el desplazamiento es una preocupación fundamental en América Latina y el Caribe. Save the Children ha establecido el Centro de Migración y Desplazamiento de América Latina y el Caribe (LAC M&D Hub) en Panamá para apoyar la labor de migración en la región. El Centro es una plataforma flexible y eficaz en función de los costos diseñada para atender las necesidades sostenidas y sistémicas de los refugiados y migrantes en los países de origen, tránsito y destino, así como las cuestiones de integración y reintegración social y económica en la región. El Hub complementa y apoya las extensas respuestas humanitarias de Save the Children en la región y trabaja para aumentar la calidad de la programación  en todo el nexo entre la ayuda humanitaria y el desarrollo.
