La voz de los niños, niñas y adolescentes del cantón de Pérez Zeledón, provincia de San José, sobre las migraciones

This publication – based on the project with the same name “La Voz de los Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes del cantón de Pérez Zeledón sobre la migración”, reveals the situation experienced by children in Pérez Zeledón, Costa Rica, whose parents migrate abroad in search for work due to lack of employment, and the impact on children´s lives at the psychological, economic and social levels. It does not only compile important information on the social and cultural concept of migration in the region, but it also teaches us a great human lesson as to the controversy that exists between migrating to seek a better quality of life and the social cost it generates for the children who are left behind.
