KREASI Baseline Study Report: Building Foundation for Inclusion and Resilience – A Comprehensive Baseline Assessment of Education Process, GEDSI Integration, and Climate Readiness across Eight Indonesian Districts

Why do substantial investments in education system strengthening not always translate into equitable learning outcomes and safe, inclusive learning environments? This baseline study for the KREASI-Baseline-Study-Report_Baseline examines the status of foundational learning, teaching practices, school leadership, Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), climate readiness, and child protection across eight underserved districts in Indonesia at the start of programme implementation.

The findings establish a critical evidence base for KREASI, highlighting the need to strengthen instructional quality, inclusive education, school leadership, data use, climate resilience, and child protection systems to improve foundational learning and ensure that all children, particularly those in disadvantaged and remote communities, can learn in safe, equitable, and resilient educational environments.
