The Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action
Children who remain with an armed group are at constant risk of physical, psychological and sexual violence, and even death. It is therefore crucial to prevent the recruitment of children to armed groups, but also to focus efforts on separating children from such groups. Actions to address the needs of Children Associated with Armed Forces or Armed Groups (CAAFAG) must continue in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic and in coordination with associated response measures.
This document includes key messages and considerations for programming for children associated with armed forces or groups during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This document is an Annex to the Technical Note: Protection of children during the COVID-19 pandemic.
