Joy in Learning – Play-Based Activities Transform Children’s Lives in Red Sea State (Case Study – Sudan)

In Swakin locality, Red Sea State, Sudan, children once faced long days of boredom and limited opportunities for learning or play. Through Save the Children’s We Thrive pilot—part of the EiE Rapid Response project—this narrative has changed. The initiative brought joy, engagement, and a renewed love for learning through community-level preparedness activities focused on play-based learning, social and emotional learning (SEL), and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS).
