Inter-Agency Group on Children on the Move
Joint statement of the InterAgency Group on Children on the Move submitted at the 2012 Day of General Discussion hosted by the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, which overall objective is to promote, at the international and national levels, the rights of all children in the context of international migration. The joint statement calls for coordinated action in promoting a more comprehensive approach to public policies in the protection of children on the move – both within and across national borders- and provides recommendations for action. The statement is endorsed by the following members of the InterAgency Group on Children on the Move working together for the protection and support of children involved in or affected by migratory situations: ILO, IOM, Plan International, Save the Children,Terre des Hommes International Federation, The African Movement of Working Children and Youths (AMWCY/MAEJT) and Environmental Development Action in the Third World (ENDA), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and World Vision International
