This report is the result of work at the Centre for Girls in Conflict Between Two Cultures, a unit within the Centre for Children and Adolescents in Crisis. It was set up as a means of using the professional knowledge of psychotherapists to help girls who have suffered as a result of honour-related oppression. Included in this report is information about KA-MER’s work to combat honour killings, how violence arises and how it can be counteracted. It looks at cross-cultural work, connections between honour killings and suicide, the set-up of a programme for psychological help, and much more.
