Involving children and young people in recruitment and selection. Taking Part in Making Decisions: Training for 8 to 12-year-olds

Staff recruitment provides an ideal opportunity to involve children and young people in the recruitment and selection of the staff who work with them and in their interests. When done well it generates many positive results. Everyone needs to learn to conduct recruitment properly and children and young people are no different from the rest. The intention of the following training – which includes tried and tested activities – is to help organisations support their children and young people between 8 and 12 years-old.
