Key informants and stakeholders were unanimous that despite the complexity of the Project design and implementation challenges due to COVID-19, “tangible results have emerged from the IRI Tiyende Project”. The Project efficiently and effectively helped to confer Early Childhood Development (ECD) services in hard to reach areas, enabling access to quality ECD curriculum even where there are untrained caregivers thereby facilitating a standardised delivery of quality ECD services and improvement in the performance of the children attending the community based childcare centres (CBCCs).
The endline evaluation unveiled a lot of interesting findings which have revealed the impact of the IRI programme. This evaluation assessed and concluded that the IRI Tiyende Project achieved key, impressive, directly relevant, and impactful milestones from 2021 to the end of the project in December 2022 (Table A). The endline evaluation assessed that the IRI Project was a decisive success because it met all and exceeded some of the originally set targets due increased interest or multiplier effect. These improvements have come about because of the capacity strengthening of the various stakeholders who participate in IRI activities.
