Investing in Children: the European child maltreatment prevention action plan 2015–2020

The 2013 European Report on Preventing Child Maltreatment identified child maltreatment as a significant problem in Europé. This action plan promotes both population-level actions and targeted, selective approaches for high-risk groups to prevent maltreatment of children and adolescents.

The goal of this action plan is to prevent child maltreatment in whatever form, sexual, physical or mental abuse, or neglect. It will also cover other negative childhood experiences, such as household dysfunction, domestic violence, mental illness, etc. that are major risk factors for maltreatment.
