This Module is the result of series of workshops and consultations held in Srinagar, Kargil, Leh and Jammu with education officials, DIET faculty members, partners and team of Save the Children based in Sri Nagar and Delhi. The module is based on UNESCO’s ILFE (Inclusive learner’s Friendly Environment) toolkit.

Capacity building of the teachers and communities is the primary focus of Save the Children in the region to ensure quality elementary education for ALL children in a non-discriminatory, inclusive manner.

The Module has been divided into three sections. The first section is an introduction that discusses the root causes of exclusion and the need for inclusion in the schools. The second section is on facilitation of workshops and the traits of an effective facilitator. The third section is about resource materials and ideas on how to promote Inclusion in the schools and classrooms.
