During the Inclusive Education Learning Event (IELE), held in Bangkok the 6-8 December 2016, one of the themes for the third day of activities focused on research, communication and advocacy.
The first presentation, Research, Communication, and Advocacy, highlights Save the Children’s definition of campaigns and advocacy and the main steps to develop an advocacy strategy. It also briefly presents the Every Last Child campaign, Save the Children’s flagship to ensure all children survive, learn and are protected. The presentation also outlines how to develop advocacy objectives, how to identify key targets and how to develop a campaign plan.
The second presentation, by Els Heijnen-Maathuis, presents Save the Children Sweden’s intentions of making inclusive education, as a rights-based approach, a common approach for Save the Children.
