In Focus: Women, Girls, Men and Boys with Disabilities in Lebanon

Women, girls, men and boys with disabilities have been disproportionately impacted by the compounded crisis in Lebanon – political, socio-economic, financial and health – exacerbating existing vulnerabilities by undermining previously relied on coping strategies and crucial family and community support. This document draws on available primary and secondary sources and is complemented by partner consultations including Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and persons with disabilities themselves, in addition to civil society women-led organizations. This document aims to provide an overview of the current requirements and highlights policy and programming gaps and recommendations for key stakeholders towards more inclusive and specialized services and interventions in the response.
