Impact Story: Strengthening Digital Engagement and Community Action to Improve Immunization Uptake in Lagos state, Nigeria

The VaxSocial project reached 191,520 caregivers in Lagos State, Nigeria using the askNivi app and generated 67,260 referrals to health facilities, which led to stronger turnout for routine and HPV vaccination. Caregivers described the experience as smooth and helpful, while volunteers and youth ambassadors observed greater trust and awareness in their communities. The model created an easier pathway for families who once struggled with uncertainty, helping more children complete their vaccinations.
