Impact of Growing Up GREAT! on the Lives of Very Young Adolescents: One and two years after program implementation

This brief describes the results of a longitudinal study intending to understand the sustained effects of Growing Up GREAT! on health outcomes several years after the end of program activities. Results reveal sustained impact of the program on pregnancy and menstruation knowledge, connectedness with caregivers, gender-equitable attidues and communication about contraception. They also indicate novel effects that emerged over time, including increased body satisfaction and gender-equitable behaviors in the house, as well as decreased bullying.
