Most children enjoy participating in the IDELA assessment and have fun while showing what they have learned. Despite this, some children can still be excluded from IDELA assessments or receive an unfair assessment of their skills. Children using a language other than the language of instruction are more likely to be excluded from or misrepresented in early learning assessment data. This note provides guidance on how to implement IDELA in minority language contexts.
